Regional Office

Leveraging its long history of strong partnerships in the Asia/Pacific region, our office in Bangkok, Thailand, serves three main functions:

  • It acts as a point of contact and coordination for the CWS country offices in the Asia/Pacific region, as well as a regional hub for meetings, trainings and workshops with colleagues and partner organizations.
     
  • It represents CWS in a number of regional and global inter-agency and donor committees, NGO networks and other fora. It seeks to use these regional and global platforms to bring common humanitarian, development and other important issues to the table, share knowledge and experience, and coordinate efforts for long-term solutions.
     
  • It directly manages programs in three countries – Myanmar, Thailand and Japan – where it works with a number of partner organizations who have specialist local knowledge and networks.
