Working in partnership with local organizations in Indonesia since the late 1960s, CWS Indonesia's priority has always been to meet the needs of the most vulnerable. In collaboration with the Ministry of Social Welfare of the Republic of Indonesia as well as various regional and local government agencies, and in partnership with Indonesian NGOs and CBOs, CWS provides humanitarian assistance to victims of natural disasters and conflicts (internally displaced people and refugees), supports sustainable development, and helps address the root causes of poverty. Priority areas are promotion of improved child nutrition, improved access to water and sanitation, strengthening civil society, and prevention of HIV and AIDS in Indonesia.
