On August 17, 2009, SEEDS Asia conducted a one-day workshop where around 30 staff members of its partner organization embraced the basic theories and significance of disaster risk reduction and school safety, as well as obtained first-hand experience on disaster planning through group work.

During a discussion in its partner’s office, SEEDS Asia also shows how their program will help people to become better stewards of the environment. The Eco-village concept helps the discussants understand physical activities and a way of life that better sustains the ecology. During the occasion, SEEDS Asia handed over a disaster risk reduction toolbox to its partner and explained the use of various tools and modules in the toolbox.
