Regional Security Project Announced

Life in the humanitarian world has always entailed risks, though the nature of those risks has perhaps shifted over the past two decades.  In recent times, humanitarian workers have been routinely targeted often as a result of a misperception of the aims of their organisations, making important work, often undertaken in precarious conditions, even more hazardous.

The Regional Security Project has been specifically designed to strengthen the skills and expertise of local and international humanitarian workers in their home countries and abroad.

This will be achieved via a series of workshops, an ‘e-alert’ service, which will focus on unique information from our specialised security network, the translation of a comprehensive security manual into local languages across Southern Asia, as well as a regional conference which will feature expert speakers from across the industry spectrum, discussing risk management, strategy development, and the impact of future security policies.
